Now, let’s get into it!

Lawrenceville Officially the 2024 High School Lacrosse National Champion

With the high school lacrosse season officially coming to an end, there’s one team at the top: Lawrenceville.

The Big Red repeat as high school national champs, and coach Posner and his staff are certainly building a dynasty.

There’s been a ton of great high school teams over the past few years, but this roster makes a case for being one of the very best.

They went 10 and 1 against 11 top 25 teams, beating virtually every powerhouse lacrosse team in the process.

They avenged their only loss of their season with a statement 14-5 win against Brunswick, who finished the season ranked second.

Who’s your pick for the greatest high school lacrosse team ever?

At 6’4, 215 pounds, Konner Sayer is one of the, if not THE biggest SSDM recruits I’ve ever seen. The sophomore from Chicago isn’t afraid to matchup against anyone, and from all the recruiters I’ve talked to, he certainly makes his presence known on the field.

We’ve discussed this before, but the SSDM position is becoming more and more important in lacrosse. What used to be an afterthought is now top of mind for any college lacrosse coach in the country.

With the shot clock and fast-paced nature of the game, teams need short sticks who can match up and play great defense, but also stay on and clear in the ball and even score a goal or two in transition.

If you’re trying to figure out where to take your game, I think there’s real opportunity to become a high level SSDM that many college lacrosse coaches would want on their roster.

Matteo Moran is the complete package at the midfield positon: on offense, he’s a fierce downhill dodger who can get to the rack with either hand. On defense, he’s happy to match up against your team’s top middie and go toe to toe.

The sophomore middie from Florida put up solid offensive stats with 19 goals and 8 assists, but it’s his versatility that sticks out to me the most.

From the lacrosse analysts I’ve spoken to, Moran was able to match up against of the top offensive middies in the country, and college coaches love players who are able to play anywhere on the field.

I’m excited to see where his recruit process takes him in September.
