The HARDEST HITTER In High School Lacrosse: Ethan Bramoff

Ethan Bramoff, Tuck Gilbane, and more.

Good morning,

I’m Jake and this is Recruit Report presented by Apex Lacrosse Events.

I’m your friend who tells you everything you need to know about lacrosse.

Due to high demand, Apex has opened a new Showcase on July 8th: The Garden State Showcase.

You can apply by clicking this link.

Over 1,500 Apex Alumni are now playing college lacrosse, and there’s over 80 college lacrosse coaches attending.

Spots are closing soon, so make sure you fill out an application.

Now, let’s get into it!

Lacrosse Recruits You NEED to Watch This Week:

Ethan Bramoff, Defense (2026) - St. Anthony’s, NY

This might be the hardest hitting high school lacrosse recruit that I’ve seen in awhile. His highlight reel is epic; filled with big hits, nasty checks and plenty of offense. From all accounts he’s considered to be one of the best players in his class, and it’s no secret why.

At 6’ 190 pounds, he has the physicality of a prototypical college lacrosse LSM/defender. He’s also a threat in transition, which is a skill that’s becoming more and more important in lacrosse. I’m excited to see where his game goes in the next few years.

Hunter Mezzatesta, Goalie (2026) - Yorktown, NY

When I came across this highlight reel, I was immediately hooked. Mezzatesta has the ability to quite literally STEAL goals from a game and make extremely tough saves look easy.

He doesn’t flop or guess where the ball is going, and there’s no wasted movement in his game.

Also, I love how his highlight reel slows down right before his saves, so you can actually see what’s going on. This might be the best goalie highlight reel I’ve seen in the class, so please nominate more goalie highlight reels for me to watch!

Lucas Garcia, Attack (2026) - Brunswick, CT

All you need to see are the first 3 clips of this highlight reel to know Garcia is a special player:

  1. Hard split to a left-handed shot down the alley

  2. Backhanded shovel shot coming around the cage from X

  3. Righty time-and-room shot to the top corner

I came away from this video impressed with how complete Garcia’s game looks for a sophomore.

He can take to the cage himself, but he seems just as happy to get his teammates involved and throw dimes. Lacrosse Magazine rated him the #1 attackman in the class, and it’s easy to see why.

Rick Giordano, Midfield (2026) - Brunswick, CT

At 5’9, 165 pounds, Rick reminds me of Duke’s Andrew McAdorey.

His shooting form is a thing of beauty, and he uses his whole body to absolutely rip it. He’s also super shifty and not afraid to go straight to the cage.

He’s a tough cover; if you play him as a shooter, he’ll take advantage and run right by you. If you leave him with any space, he’ll step in and rip it.

As he continues to develop his strength and athleticism, I think you’ll see his game exponentially grow.

Tuck Gilbane, Attack (2026) - Nobles, MA

Tuck already has my vote on the Lacrosse All-Name team, but he’s also got the game to back it up.

He got significant time as a freshman for the Nobles varsity team, and I expect even bigger things in his second year.

He’s also a dual-sport athlete, thriving as a hockey player in one of the toughest high school hockey leagues in the country.

My favorite part about his game is his understanding of leverage and pressure: he’s able to read when a defender is over or underplaying him, and he makes defenders pay with an inside roll or topside shot.

Which lacrosse recruits should I cover next?

Quick Notes

  1. I’m reacting to highlight reels - which only show me the best moments from a player’s games. These videos don’t show us a complete picture, and we understand that.

  2. This is purely for fun - we understand there are a ton of talented players still to be covered. Please nominate them!

See you next time!

Jake

P.S. remember to fill out an application for the Garden State Showcase!
