The #1 HS LAX TEAM IN THE COUNTRY IS...

Double OT THRILLER | Jared Bernhardt Coming Back?

Good morning. I’m Jake and this is Recruit Report - we bring you the news, stories, and players you need to know in high school lacrosse.

It’s been an insane week in high school lax, so let’s get right to it.

McDonough Goes BACK to BACK

After an overtime thriller against Boys’ Latin in the semifinals, the Eagles DOMINATED Calvert Hall 14-5 in the MIAA ‘A’ finals.

Sophomore star Brendan Millon led with way with 5 goals and 1 assist, Ben Firlie and Luke Miller each had hat-tricks, and McCabe Millon chipped in 4 points.

After dominating the entire season, I think Brendan Millon solidified himself as the top 2025 recruit. Will he follow his brother and go to UVA?

Or will he commit to an entirely different school?

No matter what, his phone will be ringing off the hook come September 1st.

Lawrenceville Wins Prep Nationals in Double OT THRILLER

Down by 3 at half, Lawrenceville stormed back to defeat preseason #1 Brunswick 14-13 in double overtime to win the National Prep Championship on Sunday.

Michigan recruit Mason Vance scored a beautiful on the run shot to push the Big Red to victory. Lawrenceville ends the season undefeated, and the #1 team in the country.

What a rise it’s been for Jon Posner and LVille.

Malvern Gets REVENGE In the Inter-Ac Ttitle

At one point in the season, things were looking BAD for Malvern. Morale was low. A 5-game losing streak and 2 losses to Haverford didn’t help.

But as great teams do, Malvern rallied in the postseason and defeated Haverford 9-5 to claim their fourth-straight Inter-Ac title.

Lucca DiBartolomeo imposed his will on defense. His story going from a 15-yeard old cancer survivor to one of the top recruits in his class is one of the best things you’ll watch all week.

Jared Bernhardt Might Play Lacrosse Again?

Former #1 2016 recruit and Tewaaraton winner Jared Bernhardt filed retirement papers for the Atlanta Falcons. He had a crazy rise to the NFL, going from a D2 quarterback to a wide receiver for the Falcons.

But it looks like his time his cinderella story in football might be coming to and end.

But now I’m asking…will he pick up his stick and join his brothers in the PLL?

PLEASE Jared, we need you!

Featured Recruit: Nate Kabiri

Nate Kabiri is one of the best players in all of high school lacrosse.

He capped off his senior year with a hat trick and IAC Championship with Georgetown Prep.

Next year, he’ll suit up for Princeton where I think he could fit in perfectly with Princeton star attackman Coulter Mackesy. Nate’s highlights are on repeat for me this week.

Nominate a player to be the featured recruit of the week, and we’ll pick one for next week!

Question of the Week

Who’s your pick to win the D1 National Championship and why? This year’s final four includes:

  • Duke

  • Virginia

  • Notre Dame

  • Penn State

#1 seeded Duke is the favorite to win, but Notre Dame and Virginia are knocking the door. Penn State comes in as the underdog, but they’re one of the hottest teams in the country and anything can happen.

Memorial Day can’t come soon enough. I want to know your picks!
